The Story of Paula’s Versatile Career Path in Our Finance Team

13.10.2025

As a recent graduate with a degree in financial management, Paula Lokki began her career at Transmeri in 2003 as a sales ledger specialist. More than 20 years later, she is still part of the Group, now working as an Accounting Manager at the parent company. The company’s growth and Paula’s enthusiasm for development have gone hand in hand, constantly offering her new challenges and opportunities. “I’m eager to develop myself, and so is the company. If I hadn’t had the chance to grow, my career here wouldn’t have lasted this long. I haven’t felt the need to look elsewhere for greener pastures,” Paula says.

Paula has worked in a variety of roles, including credit control, principal invoicing, payroll, and accounting. She has participated in the implementation of SAP and Medius systems, acting as project manager for the latter. Paula has also served as a supervisor for the accounts receivable team.

She is an active contributor to shared matters, serving as an occupational safety representative and as a member of the holiday cottage committee. Paula has helped organize the rental and maintenance of staff holiday cottages. Transmeri has also had many clubs, such as theater, fishing, and crafts, which have since been replaced by Smartum benefits.

Colleagues describe Paula as a helpful and reliable problem solver. She enjoys assisting her coworkers and maintaining the team’s service-oriented attitude. Throughout its nearly 100-year history, Transmeri Group has always been profitable, and one of the highlights of the finance team’s year is the annual closing dinner. Over ten years ago, this was celebrated in Fiskars with glassblowing. The CEO at the time, Jon Didrichsen, received a vase as a souvenir, and the story goes that it can still be found at the Leppävaara office.

Transmeri Group is owned by the Didrichsen family, who have always been actively involved in the company’s operations. Now the third generation has joined the board, and we are delighted to see them often at the office.

The secret to Paula’s long career at Transmeri Group, in addition to interesting work, is good supervisors, a positive work environment, effective tools, and employee benefits.
“I feel that we employees are cared for and looked after,” Paula says
