As a family business, we are committed to long-term ownership and value long-term partnerships. We believe that a sustainable future is created together. We continuously strive to develop our own practices and support our independent subsidiaries in achieving their sustainability goals.
We have chosen the internationally recognized 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN as the framework for our sustainability work. We support the promotion of all 17 goals both in Finland and globally, but we have identified the following three Sustainable Development Goals as the most relevant to our business:
8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, 13 – Climate Action, and 17 – Partnerships for the Goals
Group Sustainability Program 2020-2025
The Transmeri Group’s sustainability program has been created in collaboration with the group’s experts, management, board, and owners, and is based on a shared view of prevailing megatrends and societal expectations for companies in our industry. Internal views have been supplemented with stakeholder surveys conducted by the group’s experts, an examination of the operating environment, and the results of consumer studies.
Our sustainability program includes three strategic sustainability themes within which we advance our corporate sustainability work. We want to promote sustainability in our value chain, help the world achieve carbon neutrality, and succeed together with our partners. UN Global Compact
Transmeri Group is a participant of the UN Global Compact Network Finland. As a group, we are committed to promoting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and adhering to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. This commitment and membership apply to the entire group and all subsidiaries.
